Balogun Scores As Rangers Kick Off 150th Anniversary Celebration

Scottish premier league champion Rangers kicked-off their 150th anniversary celebrations this afternoon playing out a 2-2 draw with English premier league side Arsenal at Ibrox, BSNSports.com.ng can reports.
Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun who was amazing last season for the club continued from where left off as he opened the scoring halfway in the match.
Skipper James Tavernier did a good at the middle to run on his marker getting the ball across to Balogun who flicked the ball superbly with his head back across another Nigeria born goalkeeper Arthur Okonwo into the back of the net.
Nuno Tavares picking up a loose ball out on the left, cutting into the area and finishing superbly in the 23rd minute to level for Arsenal.
Cedric Iten put host ahead again before Eddie Nketia equalized and ended the game 2-2.
The Nigeria international was applauded by the home fans for his amazing performance in the keenly contested encounter.
Balogun contract was extended at the end of last season for another year after his outstanding performance and also played a key role in Rangers winning the league after 50 years of wait.
