Banishment has affected our performance - Plateau United captain

Captain of former NPFL champions, Plateau United, Elisha Golbe has said that not playing at home has affected their performance in the league.

Golbe told Bestchoicesports that the shock of playing away from home affected the team leading to their droping points within the few weeks of the 2019 Nigeria Professional Football League.

In a chat with Bestchoicesports, the defender said "Not that we started poorly as such but you know the hammer that befalled us after our first match at home and playing away from home in Nigeria league is not easy

"Coupled with the hot weather that we are not used to, the ground and the support from our fans. I think it affected us psychologicallly

"It has not been easy in our last two home games but everybody in the team is giving out his best and we are taking the league match by match, " the Vice Chairman of National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers, NANPF, said.
