  Bayelsa FA Distributes FIFA Covid-19 Palliatives To Clubs By Admin The Bayelsa State Football Association has distributed the FIFA Covid-19 palliatives received from the Nigeria Football Federation to registered football teams in the state. The event which took place at the FA secretariat along old Okaka road in Yenagoa witnessed representatives of various clubs affiliated with the Association. Chairman of the State FA who was represented by the vice Chairman, who also doubles as Chairman of the FIFA covid-19 Palliative Committee, Fubara Owunaro, urged the recipient of the palliatives to make good use of it and promised that whenever such gesture comes fro from the world Governing Body through the NFF, the state FA will not hesitate to distribute them. Not fewer than thirty-five (35) teams made up of three female teams, ten Academy (Grassroots) teams, eight Local Government teams and 14 State League teams got one set of jerseys and two balls from the covid-19 stimulus package to kick start the resumption of football activities after the pandemic ravaged year. Some of the benefiting teams speaking through the chairman of Yenagoa City Academy,  Ada Gwegwe thanked the Bayelsa State Football Association for their show of care during this pandemic ravaged year and that some of the teams are struggling to buy balls and jerseys to resume training and promised to make judicious use of the palliatives sent to them from FIFA. The state FA received One million and nine hundred thousand naira (N1.9M) from the NFF.
