The Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, his Excellency Henry Seriake Dickson has said it will have Inter-Local Government Football and Wrestling competition from the month of July.
The Governor who disclosed this while given his closing remark at the 2018 Restorations Cup finals held at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex Yenagoa, urged all bayelsa youths to participate.
"I want to urge all of u to participate in this competition that are geard towards exposing our boys".
"We have a lot of talented young people, we want to produced the Ronaldo's and the messi's and all the others and they are here,"
"we want to discover the new Jackson Bide and Igali's and so on."
"We can do that because we are bayelsans".
The governor also directed all government appointees from there various local government to work with the commissioner for sports to actualize it.
"I want to direct all the local government chairmen and political appointees from the local government areas to meet and support the commissioner of sports to develop that program, which i think i will like to be here to kickoff from the month of July he added.
Peretrogbene beat Opu- Nembe by two goals to one at the Samson Siasia stadium.
Tarabina.B gave Peretorugbene the lead in the 9th minute while Tony Nicolas levelled the scoreline for Opu-Nembe in the 20th minute of the game.
In the second half, Rowland Vidah scored for the Ekeremor side in the 57th Minutes to take the lead again.
Despite pressures to get the equaliser from Opu-Nembe, Peretorugbene where able to stand firm to win the match.
The win means Peretorugbene got the winning prize of 5million naira while Opu-Nembe got 3million naira for coming second and the sum of 2million naira was presented to Toro-Orua who defeated Otuasega to finish in third position.
