Beach Volleyball: Nigeria Female Beats Cape Verde By Uche Dozie Nigeria Women Volleyball team fought to it first win in it second group match of the Continental Cup going on in Agadir, Morocco on Thursday, BSNSports.com.ng can report. The Nigerian ladies dust themselves up from it loss to Kenya on Wednesday to beat a hard fighting Cape Verde 2-1 after a golden match. Albertina and Nnoruga had won the first match against Lu/Jany (21-10, 15-21, 15-9). However, the Cape Verdeans staged a comeback through Marly and Zina who beat Amara and Franco 21-23, 21-17, 10-15 in the second match. Hence, a golden match was played to decide the winner. The Nigerian team showed it resolve as it took the golden battle 17-21, 21-11, 15-8 to win the overall tie 2-1. The Volleyball team has qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition after finishing second in group B.
