Belgian Cup: Onuachu Wins First Trophy With Genk
By Sampson Adedeji Nigeria's Super Eagles striker, Paul Onuachu, crowned his splendid season on Sunday night as he led the team to victory in a cup final against Standard Liege, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The lanky Nigeria forward was the chief tormentor in the encounter, pressurizing the backline of the runners-up, Liege. It was Japan's Ito that broke the deadlock in the 48th minute and gave the Limburger a well deserved lead. Belgian International Bongonda made 2-0 in the 80th minute before Muleka reduced the deficit in the 88th minute but Genk did enough to emerge champion. Though not score in final, Onuachu was responsible for the solitary goal in the semi final. The former FC Midjtyland forward has 31 goals in all competitions for Genk this season.
