Bendel Insurance, Edo Queens to get equal pay - Shuiabu

If the reports coming from Benin city, Edo State is anything to go by, then the two state owned club Bendel Insurance and Edo Queens are set to be on the same salary scale, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

There have been complains all over the world concerning the huge gap between the salary and bonuses being paid to male footballers and their female counterparts.

The Deputy Governor of the state Philip Shuiabu made the statements after his training with Bendel Insurance on Monday.

"Bendel Insurance standard and that of Edo Queens are going to be the same. There will be no gender discrimination among them in terms of welfare, in terms of salary", he said

Bendel Insurance will be campaigning in the Nigeria National League this season after they were relegated last season.
