Bimo Sporting Club Readmittance (Part 1):
....Hand of Esau, Voice of Jacob
On Friday 15th February 2019 Nigeria National League (NNL) in a statement released by its media officer, Amar Ignis announced the readmittance of Bimo Sporting Club back into the 2018/19 NNL league.
The statement added that the team was readmitted following an 'authorization' by the Nigeria Football Federation. Sadly, however, no reason was given for the readmittance aside 'order from above'.
Nigerians have noticed that this is happening for the first time in the history of the league, therefore, demand for the reason(s) behind the decision reached by the Nigeria Football Federation.
Few years ago, Giwa FC was expelled from the league following their failure to honour two home league games, having been banished to a neutral venue from Jos Stadium and up till this moment, the club has not found its way back to the league.
In the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Nigeria National League (NNL) and Nationwide League Div One (NLO), there is a league rule which states that once a club misses two consecutive league matches without an acceptable reason(s), such club shall be expelled from the league.
And before the NFF Disciplinary Committee arrived at the expulsion of Bimo Sporting Club, Nigerians believed that all these factors must have been thoroughly considered before the decision was taken.
So, at what point do they realize that their decision was wrong?
Does means that Mangement of the NFF Disciplinary Committee, and the management of the NNL are not competent?
NNL management should tell Nigerians their reasons for the reversal of their decision.
Bimo Sporting Club of Ogidi, Anambra was expelled from the Nigeria National League in September 2018 following their failure to honour two consecutive NNL matches. Having breached the League Rule by missing two consecutive NNL games, the management of the NNL announced that the team have been expelled from the league.
