Before Barakat Quadre defeated Adrijana Lekaj 6-2 4-6 6-0 to seal the win for Nigeria. The team completed the rout in the doubles as Osabuohien and Quadre only needed 54 minutes to win against Bashota and Lekaj 6-2 6-1. Hosts Lithuania had overcome Nigeria 3-0, but the tie was harder than the scoreline suggests. No. 2 singles player Iveta Dapkute had to come back from a set down to defeat Adesuwa Osabuohien 4-6 6-2 6-4 and the doubles match was a narrow 6-4 7-5 win for the hosts. The Nigerian team is expected to top pool C in a round robin fashion to make it to the playoffs of the indoor hard court tournament.
