Bobby Adekanye Leaves Lazio To Join ADO Den Haag Of Holland

Bobby
Nigerian-born winger, Bobby Adekanye has moved from SS Lazio of Italy to ADO Den Haag of Holland, where he hopes to regain the lofty status he once enjoyed during his time playing in England, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Before now Adekanye, who left Liverpool of England under controversial circumstances wo years ago, had been on loan with Cadiz of Spain, where he enjoyed a sprinkling of games this season in the Spanish La Liga, but he has now relocated to Holland in a similar deal. This comes after Lazio confirmed that the winger-cum-striker has joined Den Haag in a deal that will run until the end of this campaign, thereby opening a new lease of life for the 21-year-old forward, who quit Anfield under a storm, but Lazio have failed to accord regular playing time to the Nigerian-born Holland under-20 international. Adekanye, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Cadiz and got five appearances, including three in La Liga, trained with his new teammates on Thursday ahead of their upcoming game against Emil Maduka Okoye’s Sparta Rotterdam. Consequently, the 21-year-old Adekanye, who also previously played for the youth teams of VV Alphia, Ajax Amsterdam, Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven, before switching to Liverpool, will be spending the remainder of this season on loan at ADO. There is a possibility that his stay could be extended if he does well at Den Haag, where he now hopes to bring to bear the experience he gained from four years he spent at Liverpool prior to his move to Lazio in 2019. Adekanye said : “It is an honor to play for this beautiful club. In recent years I have gained a lot of experience abroad – both within and outside the lines. “It is great that I can now present myself to the Dutch public. I am an attacker with courage and speed, who likes to pass a man and be productive. “I hope I can make a lot of minutes and help the team to grab points and stay in the Eredivisie. I have every confidence that this will work out.”
