Bonaventure Unveiled By Cologne, Gets Good Luck Message From Brugge

New arrival at FC Cologne of Germany, Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure has been officially unveiled by the German Bundesliga club, and one of the first line of congratulatory messages he received came from his immediate past team, Club Brugge of Belgium. BSNSPorts.com.ng.com reports that the 23-year-old Bonaventure will play on loan in the Bundesliga till the end of this season, after his loan transfer was confirmed, sequel to a successful medical that preceded the agreement being finalised. It provides a new lease of life for the attacker-cum-winger, who has played a limited number of games for the Belgian champions this season, due to several on0fied and off-field controversies, but he is now looking up to a new lease of life for his career. Bonaventure’s aspirations are sure to be boosted by the presence of a couple of his compatriots as his new base, as the Super Eagles’ fringe player looked excited after commencing training along with two Nigerian players, Tolu Arokodare and Kingsley Ehizibue at Cologne, where he has been assigned jersey number 43. The Billy Goats have a strong tradition of lining out Nigerian players, dating back to the days of Sunday Ogorchukwu Oliseh and most recently Anthony Ujah, thereby creating hope that Bonaventure will be able to settle down fast and relaunch his career at his new base, though they are currently battling to stay up in the Bundesliga. Bonaventure’s hope for a rosy time in Germany has, however, received a boost from his parent club, as Brugge disclosed in a formal stamen to announce his departure: “Emmanuel Dennis is on loan to 1. FC Köln until the end of the season. Good luck, Dennis!” Exciting words also came from Bonaventure, who has made 13 appearances for Club Brugge this season, but missed several games due to family reasons, a falling out with teammates and loss of affection with the team, as he started angling for a transfer since last summer. Bonaventure confessed: “The last six months were not easy for me. I want to play and score goals, and therefore I wanted to make a move in the current transfer window. “I am pleased that I’m now at FC. I know what the sporting situation at FC is – therefore I want to play my part in keeping us in the league, by playing and scoring in a top league.”
