Moffi is experiencing a good debut season in Ligue 1. In October 2020, the Nigerian came to Lorient for an eight million euro transfer from KV Kortrijk from Belgium.
Since then, he has scored eleven goals and 3 assists in 27 league games.
The German club is already looking for replacement for the team top stars that might exit the club at the end of the ongoing season Moffi is seen as a suitable replacement.
Moffi was supposed to make his Super Eagles bow in the final round of the 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifier against Squirrel of Benin Republic and Lesotho but Lorient held him back due to covid 19 restrictions.
If his move to Dortmund materialize, he will become third Nigeria players after Sunday Oliseh and Victor Ikpeba to play for the German giants.
