  Breaking! Edo 2020 To Hold From Jan 3rd To 17 By Niyi Busari The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19 has shifted ground on when the 2020 National Spot Festival will be held. This follows a virtual meeting between PTF, Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) and Ministry of Sports, BSNSports.com.ng reports. PTF was quoted by tge Chairman Local Organising Committee who doubles as the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Phillip Shuaibu assaying that the 20th National Sports Festival has been postponed from December 3rd. However, on Thursday, after much pressure from athletes, journalists and Nigerians, the PTF, NCDC and Ministry of Sports met and concluded that the 2020 National Sports Festival will be held from January 3rd to 17th. This however, is subject to adherence to Civic-19 protocol. This is the third time the event will be shifted. Having been shifted in March 2020 due to outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, it was also shifted from 3rd December, 2020 with one month interval. Many states have started close camping in preparations for the 3rd December commencement date and the one month extension will help them have more time for preparations ahead of the championship scheduled to hold in Edo State.
