  Breaking! FG Pays $2,000 Olympics Grants To Nigeria Athletes   By Niyi Busari   The Federal Government of Nigeria through Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has paid the sum of Two thousand dollars ($2,000) being the balance of the Six thousand dollars ($6,000) grants meant for all the athletes that represented Nigeria at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.     BSN Sports has reported that all the athletes had been paid Four thousand dollars upfront with the balance paid on Friday February 25, 2022     The $2,000 balance payment was confirmed by a senior staff of the Ministry (name withheld) who explained that the Ministry has been doing everything possible in making sure that the athletes are settled even before now. "I can confirm to you that the sum of Two thousand dollars being balance of the Six thousand dollars meant for all the athletes that represented Nigeria at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo has been paid to all of them. "The Ministry did everything possible that the money is paid and the Federal Government also played their roles in making sure the money is released to the athletes."
