Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly sacked head coach Thomas Tuchel, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to the leading Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the PSG board have released Tuchel and are set to announce the decision, as well as the club's next manager soon.
The decision strangely comes after the club won 4-0 against Strasborg to go a point behind leaders Lyon in Ligue 1 after 17 games.
The 47-year-old German joined from Borussia Dortumund in July 2018, and succeeded to help the French champions to six titles that include two Ligue 1 championships, but never brought the desired dream prize of the UEFA Champions League to Paris.
A leading candidate to succeed Thuchel at Les Parisiens is former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino.
