Bribery Allegations: Nigeria Coaches Association Threatens To Take Legal Action If...

The Nigeria Football Coaches Association, NFCA, has frowned at the bribery allegations leveled against national team coach by the ex-Super Eagles players, BSNSports.com.mg can report.

The Association in a statement signed by its president, Ladan Bosso said it is not enough to accuse coaches of bribery but such accusation must come with evidence and the accuser naming those involved in the allegations. The Association threatened to take legal action if such malicious allegation continues.

The statement made available to BSN Sports reads: "The Nigeria Football Coaches Association is really perturbed about the current allegations of corruption made by some players against coaches whose identity were not revealed by the accusers." Ladan said.

The statement added that the players who accused national team coaches of bribery should not be afraid to name names of those who are involved in the wrongdoing.

"We hereby request the accusers to mention the name of the coaches so as to stop the unnecessary backlash and bad blood that has continued to ravage the social media and some conventional media outfit.

"If the accusers see their actions as a means of bringing sanity into Nigeria football the association will only welcome it if the accuser are precise and open to back up such allegations with facts and evidence.

The Coaches Association says it will advise its members to take legal action of such unfounded allegation persists.

"Otherwise the association strictly frowns against persons making damning allegations against her members without any iota of facts or evidence to back same. We therefore advise that such nefarious allegations must stop as it only succeeds in painting Nigeria coaches bad and putting the hard earned integrity and reputation build over the years to disrepute. "

Recently, there have been reports in the media where former Super Eagles player, Chinedu Ogbuke claimed he was dropped from 2014 FIFA World Cup because he failed to bribe his way into the squad. Few days later, another ex-Eagles defender, Taiye Taiwo was also quoted backing Chinedu's bribery allegation claims.

We shall subsequently ask our members to take legal action against anyone who may defame their character and reputation in the eyes of the public.
