Nigeria's Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi continue from where he left off for an international break as scored in Union Berlin victory over visiting Wolfsburg, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
Awoniyi was the star player in the club last match before the international break as he netted a brace in the encounter.
The performance handed him an invitation into the national team and he was able to make his debut in the World cup qualifier against the Central African Republic.
Union Berlin hosted and defeated Wolfsburg on Saturday with Awoniyi scoring the opening goal in the 46th minute of the game.
Becker made it 2-0 for the host in the 83rd minute before Awoniyi was replaced a minute later.
Union Berlin did enough to secure a surprising 2-0 win over Wolfsburg.
