Bundesliga: Obasi Set For Altach Debut

All is set for Super Eagles striker, Chinedu Obasi, to debut for his new Austria Bundesliga club, SCR Altach, against champions RB Salzburg, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Schalke 04 attacker joined Altach this summer as a free agent after mutual termination of his contract with Swedish Allensvskan club AIK Solna.

He missed Wednesday cup game because the team head coach Alexander Pastoor said it was too early for him.

The coach during press conference ahead of the match said Obasi is a good player and it will be good to have him but not for the whole durations of the game.

“Obasi immediately managed to bring calm to the game. He's also a player who has flair. With the first contact he manages to prepare the ball in such a way that it becomes a dangerous action," Pastoor said.

"It's a very important component of our game. At the moment it would be too early to call him 90 minutes. He's in a good mood, but it wouldn't be wise to leave him on the field for a whole game," he stated.
