Bundesliga: Obasi Suffers Heavy Defeat In Altach Debut

It was a day to forget for Super Eagles attacker Chinedu Obasi as his club SC Altach suffered a 4-1 defeat to champions RB Salzburg on his debut, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Hoffeinheim of Germany striker agreed a move to Austria league last weekend but missed the midweek game due to clearance by the club.
Just as the team head coach Alex Pastoor said on Friday during a press conference, Obasi started the game and was able to impress in the encounter.
The former U-20 star was instrumental to his team netting the opening goal in the 33rd minute through Tartarotti.
Salzburg demonstrated champions stuff by responding with 4 goals through Szoboszlai, Dhaka, Koita and Kritiesen.
Obasi was subbed off in the 69th minute for Netzer. He spent last season with Swedish Allensvskan club, AIK Solna.
