Salisu Habibu made it two out of two after winning the Men's 800m event. The Undergraduate of Ahamdu Bello University, used his long strides and his home advantage to create an unattainable lead. He clocked 1:54.95 time to finish first ahead of Seyni Ibrahim of Niger with silver and Jonathan Iomah of Liberia who took bronze.
