CAF : Pinnick Appointed Into AFCON Committe

The Executive Committee, chaired by the President of CAF, DR Patrice Motsepe, took important decisions on the competitions, the presidents and vice-presidents of the standing committees of CAF, in Kigali, Rwanda, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
It ratified the appointments decisions of the emergency committee, taken on the proposal of the President.
Organising Committe of African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) was one of the key committe appointed and president of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Melvin Pinnick was among the appointees which also include CAF President Patrice Motsepe, Senegal's Augustin Sengor.
Here is the new composition of the committees:
Finance Committee:
Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa continues his mission as head of the Finance Committee. The decision was approved at the previous COMEX meeting, Mr. Lekjaa, President of the FRMF (Moroccan Football Federation) and member of the FIFA Council, will be assisted by a Vice-President, in particular Mr. Andrew Kamanga, President of the FAZ (Zambia Football Federation).
Organizing Committee for the Africa Cup of Nations:
The flagship of CAF competition inherits a new direction. Dr Patrice Motsepe will head the commission, assisted by two Vice-Presidents: Mr. Augustin Emmanuel Senghor, President of the Senegalese Football Federation, and Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick, President of the Nigerian Football Federation.
Organizing Commission for the African Nations Championship:
Building on the success of the recent CHAN Total Cameroon 2020 organized last January-February on Cameroonian soil, the President of FECAFOOT is brought to the head of the committee. He will not work alone, since the president of FUFA (Uganda), Mr. Moses Magogo, will assist him as vice-president of the said commission.
Organizing Committee for Interclub Competitions and Club Licensing:
Interclub competitions and the club license management system will now be managed by Mr. Ahmed Yahya, 2nd Vice-President of CAF and President of the Mauritanian Football Federation. Mr. Maclean Letshwiti (President of the Botswana Football Federation) and Mr. Djibrilla Hamidou Hima (President of the Nigerien Football Federation) were appointed Vice-Presidents.
This committee manages the CAF Total Champions League, the CAF Total Confederation Cup, the TOTAL Super Cup as well as the new Women's Champions League in collaboration with the organizing committee for women's football.
Organizing Committee for Youth Competitions:
Youth football dear to CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe will be supervised by CAF 3rd Vice-President and President of the Federation of Djibouti Mr Suleiman Waberi. The former president of the arbitration commission will be supported by the Vice-Presidents Mr. Pierre Alain Mouguengui (Gabon) and Mr. Moustapha Ishola Raji (Liberia).
Organizing Committee for Women's Football:
In women's football, Isha Johansen (Sierra Leone) passes the torch of the presidency to Kanizat Ibrahim (Comoros). However, the President of SLFA, who is also a member of the FIFA Council, continues her mission as Vice-President of the committee.
Futsal and Beach Soccer Development Commission:
Mr. Sita Sangare (former president of the FBF - Burkina Faso) has been appointed president of the futsal and beach soccer development commission. Its Vice-President is Mr. Abdiqani Said Arab (Somalia)
Committee on Legal Affairs and National Associations:
Crowned with his experience as a lawyer, Me Augustin Emmanuel Senghor, 1st vice-president of CAF and President of the FSF, takes charge of the commission. Mr. Elvis Chetty of Seychelles assumes the vice-chairmanship.
CAF Medical Commission
The new President of the CAF Medical Commission is Mr. Wadie Jary, President of the Tunisian Football Federation. The post of Vice-President remains temporarily vacant.
In addition, President Motsepe always receives additional proposals regarding the Arbitration Commission and the Technical and Development Commission.
