CAF Approves Regulations For Women Champions League

As women teams across Africa are gearing up to take part in the maiden edition of the Women's CAF Champions League, Confederation of African Football Executive committee has approved a regulations for the competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The football body few months back considered and approved women champions league in the continent to bring more competition, encouragement and development into the women game.
The Executives has approved that the competition will be annual event.
The qualifiers will be organized in the six (6) zones of CAF.
The final tournament will bring together representatives from each zone and will comply with all CAF competitions.
The zone of the club holding the trophy will enter 2 teams.
The proposed competition had started yielding a good fruits in the women game across the continent as some countries who don't have women professional league has started setting it up.
Nigeria as one of the most successful countries in women game in the continent has also commenced the 2020/2021 women league ahead of the continental competition.
