By Sampson Adedeji

Just as Nigerians are fuming about the omission of Nigeria players in the CAF XI, Plateau United coach Abdul Maikaba has knocked Nigeria players saying they are not performing well in their various club

Africa soccer governing body on Tuesday in Dakar, Senegal listed no Nigeria in 2018 CAF XI and Nigerians fare showing their discountenance to the award.

"In Nigeria players are not performing well in their clubs, compare to players like Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Pierre Aubameyang who are doing well for their club.

I think we have few players who so well at the highest level, I think Iwobi can be our best player and is not even regular in his team.

Am disappointed that individually ournplayers are not measuring up but as a group is Super Eagles are doing well," he said.

Egyptian MO Salah emerged the African player of the year for the second consecutive year running beating clubmate Sadio Mane and Arsenal's Aubameyang.
