CAFCC: Rangers depart for Gabon Thursday

Ahead of the first leg of the 3rd qualifying round of the CAF Confederation cup, Nigeria representative Enugu Rangers will depart the country on Thursday for the match against AS Pelican, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

BSN Sports reports that the Flying Antelope was drawn bye in the last round of the competition while AS Pelican edged out Manieman union.

Former Nigeria Professional League champion has been camping in Nanka in the past few weeks where they also played series of friendly matches to fine tune the team.

The team departed Enugu on Wednesday afternoon for Lagos where they will connect flight to Gabon for the crucial encounter.

Rangers crashed out at the group stage of the same competition last season after losing at home to two different Tunisia sides Etoile Du Sahel and CS Sfaxien.
