By Omolagba Oluwayemi
After a poor show in the continent last season, Kano Pillars striker, Nwagua Nyima have send strong warnings to their preliminary round opponent for this season CAF Confederations Cup ASC Jaraaf of Senegal.
Recall that last year in the CAF Champions League, Kano Pillars lost out in the preliminary round to Ghanaian's Asante Kotoko 4-3 on aggregate which was a poor outing and a big disappointed for their fans home and abroad but things is about to change this season.
Following the draw against ASC Jaraaf, Kano Pillars player Nwagua Nyima while speaking to BSNsports.com.ng has this to say:
"We've seen this draw for CAF Confederations Cup this year. Our last outing was not a very good one and without being told we've already put ourselves in a situation where we now have to prove that we're better than what people think about us and a lot of preparations have been made for this year's tournament.
"It not just about proving ourselves, but we have to take Kano Pillars to the next level because we don't have any excuse anymore. We'll react to last year's disappointment well.
"I guess we're going away first to the Senegalese side. We're not underrating any team and we're working hard as we know much is expected of us.
"We're actually capable of the task and we're believing that by the special grace of God this year will be better than last year. With the help of the management and the whole technical crew, we know we're going to do better than we did last year."
