CAF Champions League: 10 Clubs Exempted From the Preliminary Round

No fewer than ten football clubs are been exempted from the preliminary round of the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The 10 clubs will join the qualified clubs in the next round of the championship.
The 57th edition of Africa's premier club football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and the 25th edition under the current CAF Champions League title will be up and running from the 27th November 2020 – 17th July 2021.
The preliminary round will include teams that are not placed on byes in the first round. The 16 winners of the first round will advance to the group stage, while the 16 losers of the first round automatically join the Confederation Cup play-off round .
Clubs which are exempted from the preliminary round include of the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League include:
Wydad Athletic Club ( Morocco), Al Ahly Sc ( Egypt), Espérance Tunis (Tunisia), TP Mazambe (Congo), Zamek Sc(Egypt), Memelodi Sundowns ( South Africa), Raja Club Athletic (Morocco), Horoya Ac (Guinea), As Vita Club (Congo) and Primeiro De Agosto (Angola).
The winner of the tournament earns the right to play in the FIFA Club World Cup, a tournament which is usually contested between the champion clubs from all the six continental confederations.
