CAF Champions League: Governor Splashes Hundred Dollars On Rivers United Players

In order to motivate the players and the entire team ahead of the first round of the CAF Champions League, Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike has redeemed the pledged he had with the team during their clash with Young Africans, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
Rivers United face the Tanzania side in the preliminary round of the competition, and the the governor in an attempt to motivate promised to dole out $100,000 if they scale through.
The Pride of Rivers defeated Young Africans home and away to secure a place in the first round of the tournament.
The governor through the Sole Administrator of the club Barr. Chris Green made the presentation of the cash at the team's training on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the governor has promised another cash reward of $100,000 if can over Sudanese side Al Hilal in the first round of the competition.
Rivers United will host the Sudanese champions at the Adoke Amasimaka Stadium this weekend with the second leg coming up next week.
