CAF Champions League: Plateau State Government To Spend N2 Billion On Jos Stadium

By Admin

Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong has approved the sum of two billion Naira to upgrade the Rwang Pam Township Stadium so the Jos darling team can play their CAF Champions League home games in front of their fans.

According to a top government official, who did not want his name in print, the stadium will be remodelled to meet up with CAF standards and ensure that the club’s teeming fans cheer the team to victory as they play their matches at home .

It would be recalled that Plateau United represented Nigeria for the CAF Champions League in 2018, but they were forced to play their matches away from home after CAF rejected the New Jos Stadium, which is yet to be completed.
United were then forced to play their international home games in Kano and Lagos.
