CAF Champions League: Rivers United Depart For Egypt

Nigeria's Rivers United on Thursday morning departed the shore of the country for Egypt ahead of the second leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League match against Al-Hilal, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
Despite playing out a disappointing 1-1 draw against visiting Al Hilal of Sudan in the first leg at the Adokie Amasiamaka stadium, the Pride of Rivers still maintained high hope of progressing to the group stage.
The team departed for Cairo, Egypt in the early hours of Thursday for the all-important match which is slated for this weekend .
The club is counting on the support of the state governor, Nyesom Wike who has promised them a huge amount of cash if they surmount the hurdle.
Rivers United require an outright victory or a draw starting 2-2 upward to be able to qualify for the next round.
