CAFCL: Final to be one leg affair

The president of the Confederation of African Football ( CAF) Ahmad Ahmad has announced the change in the CAF champions League final format, BSNSpirts.com.ng reports.

The President announced that the final will now be one leg affair at a neutral venue.

This was confirmed during the body Congress on Wednesday morning at the Marriott hotel in Cairo with FIFA president Gianni Infantino in attendance.

The competition has adopted two legged affair format since inception of the competition and it has been advantage to the team that hosted the second leg.

The winner of the 2019 season is yet to be decided has case been transfered to Court for Arbitration for Sports after Esperance lodged an appeal against CAF replay decisions.
