Nigeria’s only surviving club in continental football this season, Enyimba International, now know their group opponents in the CAF Confederation Cup following the draws conducted this afternoon at African governing soccer body complex (CAF) in Cario, Egypt, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Enyimba who are two-time CAF Champions League winners have another chance to write their name in the sands of history though this time in the second-tier Confed Cup after defeating River United via penalty shootout on Sunday.
However, no Nigerian club has won the CAF Confederation in its present format.
The Peoples’ Elephant are housed in Group A where they are placed alongside the trio of ES Setif (Algeria), Orlando Pirates (South Africa) and Ahli Benghazi (Libya).
Group stage matches will commence on 10th March with all the teams facing off in home and away ties and the top two sides qualifying to the knockout round.
