By Sampson Adedeji
Ahead of the final group game against Nigeria's representative Enyimba international, South Africa premier league side, Orlando Pirates have been hit with a goalkeeping crisis, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Buccaneers suffered a huge blow when goalkeeper Siyabonga Mpontshane was stretchered off the pitch during the first half of their 0-0 draw at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday, with what looked like a serious injury.
The Soweto giants are now left with only one goalkeeper in Wayne Sandilands, after Richard Ofori also suffered an injury in the away fixture against Setif last month and has been ruled out since
Pirates could be forced to call on young goalkeeper Elson Sithole from their DStv Diski Challenge team ahead of their DStv Premiership match against Swallows FC this weekend, and situation could stay same when they face the Peoples Elephants in the last group fixture .
Enyimba will face Orlando Pirates next Wednesday in the final round of the group match with both teams eyeing a place in the knockout round.
