After scaling the hurdle of Futuro Kings of Equatorial Guinea, head coach of Rivers United Stanley Eguma has promised the fans and supporters of the team to expect an improved performance in the next round of game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Pride of Rivers has to rely on penalty shoot out to surmount the hurdle of Futuro after the regulation time ended 2-1 and 3-3 on aggregate.
Eguma said the team is still young and new, and hope by the next game they would have click together.
"We have to work hard because the higher it goes the harder it becomes. I expect a tougher game and a young team with new players.
"I think before the next game we should be better of and I expect a better performance in the next game," he said.
Rivers United will play South Africa premier league side Bloemfontein Celtics in the next round.
