  CAF Confederation Cup: Rivers United Depart Nigeria For South Africa On Sunday By Sampson Adedeji Rivers United will depart for Bloemfontein South Africa on Sunday December 20 for the 1st leg of their first round CAF Confederations Cup tie against Bloemfontein Celtic which is scheduled for Wednesday 23rd December 2020, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Pride of Rivers qualified for the first round of the competition after they defeated Futuro Kings of Equatorial Guinea via penalty shoot out, Celtic on its part was drawn bye in the preliminary round. The team will depart for the city of Bloemfontein, from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos via Air Peace The match is slated for Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium at 6pm local time while the return will take place in Port Harcourt on 6th January 2021. Victory for Rivers United over the two legs will qualify the team for the group stage of the competition.
