CAF Confederation Cup: Teibowei Upbeat on ‘Resounding Victory’ Against Ashanti Golden Boys

Bayelsa United coach, Diepreye Teibowei says his side will be seeking a ‘resounding victory’ against Guinean side As Ashanti Golden Boys in Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round tie at the Samson Siasia Stadium,Yenagoa.
The Confederation of African Football had ruled the fixture be played on a one legged basis following the coup d'etat in Guinea that saw President Alpha Condé dethroned.
The Guinée Championnat National who scored twenty four goals and conceded same number of goals in twenty six games will have a serious battle as they face the attacking trio of Emo James, Victory Beniangba and Okardi Inikurogha.
Speaking to the club media,experienced Technical Adviser, Diepreye Teibowei noted that his lads were in good shape going into the encounter, stating that he is aware of the importance of playing in the continent.
Though the Guinean side are relatively unknown in the continent, the experience tactician believes that with the information available about his opponent, the Prosperity Boys would secure passage to the next round.
Bayelsa United are unbeaten at home for three years despite playing in the Nigeria National League, NNL, the former Nigeria international is hopeful to continue with the one hundred percent record at home.
On the fitness level of some players, the gaffer confirmed that striker, Robert Mizo, would miss the clash alongside midfielder Stephen Wisdom, who has moved to Kano Pillars, adding that defender Endurance Ebedibiri and Gabriel Biriduba whose wife recently gave birth are available.
Meanwhile, Bayelsa United thrashed Sunsel Fc of Agbor 4-1 in a preparatory game ahead of Sunday's CAF Confederation Cup one legged preliminary clash with AS Ashanti Golden Boys of Guinea goals from Okardi Inikurogha, Favour Martins, Gabriel Biriduba and Wisdom Magbisa ensured that Sunsel Fc sight seeing was completed.
