  CAF Election: Anouma, Sengor May Form Alliance By Sampson Adedeji As the debates of who become the next president of Confederation of African Football (CAF) hots up, there may be announcement of alliance between candidates in the coming days, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Five football stakeholders including incumbent president of the body, Ahmad Ahmad, signified their intention to run for the position of the presidency until World soccer governing body banned Ahmad for 5 years. The remaining four candidates are still jostling for the position with everyone canvassing for votes. The latest reports indicated the duo of Ivoarian Jacque Anouma and Senegalese Augustin Sengor met over the weekend and may announce their alliance soon. The meeting of the two West Africa football stakeholders took place in Cotonou, Benin Republic before the final of West Africa Football Union competition between Ghana and Burkina Faso. "We think the idea would be for West Africa to leave united. From the moment it is a common will, the consensus will be done very slowly", Anouma declared. If the consensus work out, they will still have to face Mauritania Ahmed Yahia and South Africa Patrice Motsepe.
