  CAF Elections: Hope Rises For Motsepe As Senghor, Yahya Consider To Step Down By Sampson Adedeji Few days to the election into the presidential position of Africa soccer governing body, the two leading candidates; Augustin Sengor and Ahmed Yahaya may likely step down for South Africa's Patrice Motsepe and withdraw from contesting, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Four candidates had shown interest and bought form to contest for the continent's number one football position.  South Africa's Patrice Motsepe, Senegal's Augustin Sengor, Ivorian Jacques Anouma and Ahmed Yahya are all eyeing to be the next president of the body. Following the reports coming from CAF headquarters in Cairo, both Senghor and Yahya have agreed to step down for Motsepe in the coming election. Incumbent president Ahmad Ahmad is also interested in retaining his position but may likely be disqualified before the election day as he is still has his hope hanging in the balance. The election is slated for March 12 in Cairo where the Congress will also take place.
