  CAF Elections: Samoura Set To Become General Secretary By Sampson Adedeji According to the reports coming from Africa soccer governing body (CAF), General Secretary of FIFA, Fatma Samoura, may likely become the Secretary General of CAF, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Senegal's Samoura spent six months in CAF in 2020 monitoring the activities of the body after sitting President Ahmad Ahmad agreed to step aside. The reports has it that CAF presidential election favorite Patrice Motsepe of South Africa has agreed and signed a pre-electoral pact paving way for Samoura emerging the substantive general secretary of the body effective from 1st June 2021. Motsepe has also allowed her to relocate to Africa with 11 supports staff form FIFA headquarters in Zurich. The election is slated for 12th of March, 2021 with 4 candidates eyeing the position of the president.
