CAF Executive Members Accept Super League Proposal By Sampson Adedeji After failing to materialise in Europe, Africa is set to become first continent to establish Super League, BSNSports.com.ng can reports. Twelve top teams gather to establish Super League in Europe but failed to take off after 9 founding members pulled out of the idea. President of Africa soccer governing body, Patrice Motsepe hinted on the Super League establishment when he took the mantle of the football body. The executive committe of the body headed by Motsepe had its meeting on Friday in Sale, Morocco and ratified the proposal of the league. Secretary General of CAF, Veron Mosengo-Omba cleared the air on the establishment of the Super League and further clarified that the model is quite different from that of Europe. "There are fundamental differences between African Super League and European Super League. It was problem of distribution of resources, here it is not only creation but to retain our players in Africa. Meanwhile, Yahya Ould Ahmed El Waghef of Mauritania is now the Second Vice-President of CAF, the Head of Clubs and Competitions Committee is appointed to lead the African project to establish and launch the African Super League.
