CAF Increases Number Of Reserve Players In Inter-Club Competitions

The department of the competition committe of the Africa soccer governing (CAF) met on Monday and decided on the ongoing inter-club competitions, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
It has been officially decided to increase the number of substitute players who will be allowed to register each team participating in African competitions on the match sheet from 7 to 9 players starting From the quarter-finals of the African Champions League Cup and the Confederation Cup for the current season 2020-2021.
They further said that the decision will also continue in the next season 2021-2022.
They cited outbreak of Corona virus as the reason the decision was taken.
They also said that the number of changes allowed to be made in each match is now under study by the International Football Association Board to consider introducing a temporary amendment in the laws of the game pending the final decision.
