By Sampson Adedeji

The Confederation of African Football is set to postpone the African Champions League and Confederation Cup semi-finals, currently scheduled for the first week of May, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Football has come to halt around the world since March and most countries have shut down their training facilities to curb the spread of the new virus, BSN Reports

"We are monitoring this unstable situation in Africa due to the coronavirus crisis and we are yet to take a decision. It is likely that a decision will be made in the next few days to postpone the remaining games of the Champions League and Confederation Cup," CAF Acting Secretary-General Abdel-Moneim Bah told beIN sports on Thursday.

Egyptian giants Ahly and Zamalek are set to play Morocco's heavyweights Wydad and Raja respectively in the Champions League.

Pyramids FC, Egypt’s rising power, are set to play Horoya of Guinea in the Confederation Cup semis. RS Berkane and Hassania Agadir will face off in a Moroccan derby in the second leg.
