CAF Names New Match Commissioner For Akwa United Versus CR Belouizdad Champions League Match

The Confederation of African Football - CAF has appointed a new Match Commissioner, Langtombong Tamba from Gambia to replace the initially designated Match Commissioner from Liberia, Isaac Montgomery for the CAF Champions League first leg preliminary round between Akwa United of Nigeria and CR Belouizdad of Algeria in Uyo.
In a letter from CAF, addressed to the teams, Liberian Montgomery who was to serve as the Match Commissioner was unavailable for the match hence the replacement with Langtombong, a former Chief of Defence Staff of the Gambia.
Meanwhile, other officials including Cote D'Ivoire's Clement Kpan as the Centre Referee, his compatriots, Koabenan Adiouman as Assistant Referee 1, Nouho Ouattara as Assistant Referee 2 as well as the fourth official Bienvenu Sinko remain with Nigeria's Dr. Salami Onimisi to serve as CAF Covid-19 hygiene officer.
The match officials are expected to arrive Uyo tomorrow Friday September 10 ahead of the match on Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
