CAF President, Ahmad Ahmad Released Without Charges

The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad questioned in Paris on June 6th by the Central Office for the Fight against Corruption and Financial and Fiscal Offences (OCLCIFF), was released from police custody without charges, the Marseille Prosecutor, Mr Xavier Tarabeux, announced on Friday at Agence France Presse.

Ahmad was reported to have been involved in some corruption and been interrogated in France on Thursday which led to rumour that he was arrested and detained for the charges leveled against him.

It was also reported that FIFA is ready to check the books of Confederation of African Football to ascertain whether or not he is corrupt.
