CAF President Announces Pan-African School Football Championship

In order to foster rapid development in Africa football, president of Africa soccer governing body ( CAF) has announced the creation of Pan-Africa school football championship, BSNSports.com.ng reports
During a working visit to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dr Motsepe and CAF General Secretary Véron Mosengo-Omba were part of the signing of an agreement by FIFA General Secretary Fatma Samoura , the Minister of Sports and Recreation of the DRC, Marcel Amos Mbayo Kitenge and the President of the Congolese Football Federation (FECOFA), Constant Omari.
Dr Motsepe said that the inter-school competition which has been launched in DRC is a pilot project that will lead to the establishment of an inter-school competition in the six African zones culminating in a final of the Pan-African Schools Championship.
He also said that one of the best investments for the future and success of African football is to invest in school football and in building football academies for young boys and girls.
