CAF rearranges date for AFCON, World Cup qualifier

Following the switch in the 2021 African Cup of Nations competition, the Confederation of African Football ( CAF) has announced change in date for the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier and 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier, BSNSports.com.ng understands.
African soccer governing body on Wednesday reversed the 2021 AFCON back to its original January/February as against June/July in which the last edition was played, BSN Reports.
The AFCON qualifier which was originally scheduled for August will start in March with two games, while 2022 World Cup qualifier will start in October, 2020.
The last round of qualifier for AFCON is slated for 8th September.
Meanwhile, the draw for 2022 FIFA world cup qualifier remained January 21st, 2020.
