CAF rejects Machkos stadium

Few days to the start of 2019 CAF organised clubs competition, the African football ruling body continued its stadium inspection across the continent.

The reports from Kenya stated that CAF has dumped one of the country oldest and biggest stadium, Machakos stadium.

The venue was dumped due to poor infrastructural facilities and inability of stadium to meet standard requirements for the competitions.

With the dumping of Machakos stadium, Kenya is now left with Kasarani stadium as the only stadium in the country that are capable to host any CAF organised tournament.

Kenya will be having 2 teams in both CAF champions League and Confederation Cup this year.
