CAF Shifts 2019 AFCON Kick-off Date

BSNSports.com.ng can report that Confederation of African Football has shifted the kick-off date of the 2019 AFCON tournament.
This comes after CAF was informed by the organizing Federation (Egypt) that a tournament that begins on June 14 as initially planned, will coincide with the Ramadan and affect the input of Footballers who are Muslims.
As a result, CAF has decided to change the kick-off date of the Tournament from 14th June to 21st June while the closing date of the Tournament moves from 13th July to 19th July.
CAF also says the draw of the first ever 24 Nations tournament will take place on the 12th of April this year just weeks after the last qualifiers in the Month of March.
