CAF TO SPIP: Investigation On $565, 471 NFF Expenses on CAF Congress Continues

The Nigeria Football Federation led by Amaju Melvin Pinnick who doubles as the first vice President of the Confederation of African Football is under investigation from the Nigeria’s special Presidential investigation panel as the body led by Cheif Okoi Obono search for money president Amaju Pinnick claims to have paid to CAF in April 2015 to attend a CAF congress is ongoing.

Amaju Pinnick is said to have submitted a financial report stating that $565, 471 from Nigeria 2014 FIFA World Cup proceeds is said to have been spent on payment and expenses in attending a CAF congress in Cairo.

kick442.com understands that the “Nigerian Special Presidential investigation panel for the recovery of public property” had written to CAF on the 10th June 2019 to find out if the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) led by Mr Amaju made this payments CAF to attend a CAF congress in Egypt.

We understand CAF has recently replied the Nigerian investigatory body to inform them that their members whether Nigerians or otherwise don’t pay to attend CAF congress.

“The participation of member associations in congress is free and requires no contribution from the latter to the holding of General assembly and all expenses are borne by CAF. I will conclude that no payment has been made by the NFF”: an extract of the letter signed by CAF Secretary General Mouad Hajji reads.

There has been no public communication by either CAF or the other parties on this development.
