The announcement came on Tuesday after most of the participating teams are battling with financial issues among other complaints. The competition which was initially slated to kick off on Saturday, July 17, 2021, will no longer take place on the scheduled date. It will now start on July 24th to August 5th at the same venue. US Force Armées USFA (Burkina Faso), Rivers Angels (Nigeria), Hasaacas Ladies FC (Ghana), Onze Soeur de Gagnoa (Cote d’Ivoire), AS Police (Niger Republic), and Amis du Monde (Togo) are the participating teams for two slots available from the zone for the 2021 CAF Women’s Champions League to be hosted in Egypt.
