CAF: With 24 Teams For Maiden Edition, CAF Also Secures Three Sponsorship Deals

Ahead of the maiden edition of the African Super League, the African Soccer ruling body has intensified preparations for the tournament, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
After much deliberations and discussions, football associations and top clubs in the continent agreed to have the competition staged.
According to the report coming from the CAF headquarters in Cairo Egypt, out of over 30 teams that attended the meeting last weekend in Douala Cameroon, 24 has been selected to start the competition.
The selected ones will be grouped into three of 8 teams each according to their geographical locations.
Meanwhile, the football body also said 3 top companies has agreed to sponsor the tournament while one of them is an airline that has agreed to carry the teams to their different destinations.
